ಅಥ ಷಷ್ಟಸ್ಸರ್ಗಃ

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಸ ನಿಕಾಮಂ ವಿಮಾನೇಷು ವಿಷಣ್ಣಃ ಕಾಮರೂಪಧೃತ್|
ವಿಚಚಾರ ಪುನರ್ಲಙ್ಕಾಂ ಲಾಘವೇನ ಸಮನ್ವಿತಃ||1||

ಸ|| ( ಸೀತಾಂ ಅದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ) ವಿಷಣ್ಣಃ ಸಃ ಕಾಮರೂಪಧೃತ್ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಪುನಃ ಸಮನ್ವಿತಃ ವಿಮಾನೇಷು ಲಾಘವೇನ ನಿಕಾಮಂ ಲಙ್ಕಾಂ ವಿಚಚಾರ ||

Hanuman endowed with strength who can take any form, sad because he was unable to see Sita, again started moving speedily among the tall mansions of Lanka,

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಅಸಸಾದಾಥ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀವಾನ್ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೇನ್ದ್ರ ನಿವೇಶನಮ್|
ಪ್ರಾಕಾರೇಣಾರ್ಕವರ್ಣೇನ ಭಾಸ್ವರೇಣಾಭಿಸಂವೃತಮ್||2||

ಸ|| ಅಥ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀವಾನ್ ( ಅತಿವೀರ್ಯಸಂಪನ್ನಃ) ಭಾಸ್ವರೇಣ ಅರ್ಕವರ್ಣೇನ ಪ್ರಾಕಾರೇಣ ಸಂವೃತಂ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೇನ್ದ್ರ ನಿವೇಶನಮ್ ಅಸಸಾದ ||

Then that Vanara reached the residence of the king of the Rakshasas which is enclosed by a boundary wall which is red in color and dazzling like the mid-day Sun.

ಸ||ಸಿಂಹೈಃ ರಕ್ಷಿತಂ ಮಹಾವನಮಿವ ಭೀಮೈಃ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೈಃ ರಕ್ಷಿತಮ್ ಭವನಮ್ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷಮಾಣೋ ಕಪಿಕುಞ್ಜರಃ ಚಕಾಶೇ||

The best among Vanaras looked surprised while searching that palace which was protected by fierce Rakshasas like a forest is protected by lions.

(Hanuman saw) Colorful apartments with beautiful entrances , (They were) surrounded by arches inlaid with silver, decorated with gold

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಗಜಾಸ್ಥಿತೈರ್ಮಹಾಮಾತ್ರೈಃ ಶೂರೈಶ್ಚವಿಗತಶ್ರಮೈಃ|
ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಂ ಅಸಂಹಾರ್ಯೈಃ ಹರಯೈ ಸ್ಯಂದನಯಾಯಿಭಿಃ||5||

ಸ|| (ಹನುಮಾನ್) ಗಜಸ್ಥಿತೈಃ ವೀರೈಶ್ಚ ಮಹಾಮಾತ್ರೈಃ ವಿಗತಶ್ರಮೈಃ ಅಸಂಹಾರ್ಯೈಃ ಹಯೈಃ ಸ್ಯಂದನಯಾಯಿಭಿಃ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಂ ( ದದರ್ಶ)||

ತಾ|| ಗಜಮುಲಮೀದ ಕೂರ್ಚುನಿ ಉನ್ನ ಶ್ರಮ ಎರಗನಿ ವೀರುಲನು ಗಜಪಾಲಕುಲನು, ಅಜೇಯಮುಲೈನ ಗುಱ್ಱಮುಲುಪೂನ್ಚಿನ ರಥಮು ಪೈ ಸಂಚರಿಸ್ತುನ್ನ ವೀರುಲನು ಚೂಚೆನು.

ಘೋಷವದ್ಭಿಃ ವಿಚಿತ್ರೈಶ್ಚ ಸದಾ ವಿಚರಿತಂ ರಥೈಃ||6||

ಸ|| ಸಿಂಹ ವ್ಯಾಘ್ರ ತನುತ್ರಾಣೈಃ ದಾನ್ತಕಾಞ್ಚನ ರಾಜತೈಃ ವಿಚಿತ್ರೈಃ ಘೋಷವದ್ಭಿಃ ರಥೈಃ ಸದಾ ವಿಚರಿತಂ ( ತಂ ಭವನಂ ದದರ್ಶ) ||

Covered with skins of lions and tigers, encrusted with images of ivory gold and silver and making sounds the chariots were always moving about.

ಸ|| ಪರಾರ್ಥ್ಯಾಸನ ಭಾಜನಮ್ ಬಹುರತ್ನ ಸಮಾಕೀರ್ಣಂ ಮಹಾರಥ ಸಮಾವಾಸಮ್ ಮಹಾರಥ ಮಹಾಸ್ವನಮ್ (ಭವನಮ್ ದದರ್ಶ)||

With excellent seats and vessels with many precious gems, with many places for big chariots, the place was filled with deep sounds of great charioteers.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ದೃಶ್ಯೈಶ್ಚ ಪರಮೋದಾರೈಃ ತೈಃ ತೈಶ್ಚ ಮೃಗಪಕ್ಷಿಭಿಃ|
ವಿವಿಧೈರ್ಬಹುಸಾಹಸ್ರೈಃ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣಂ ಸಮಂತತಃ||8||

ಸ|| ಪರಮೋದಾರೈಃ ದೃಶ್ಯೈಃ ವಿವಿಧೈಃ ಬಹು ಸಾಹಸ್ರೈಃ ತೈಶ್ಚ ಮೃಗಪಕ್ಷಿಭಿಃ ತೈಃ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣಂ ಸಮನ್ತತಃ ( ಭವನಮ್ ದದರ್ಶ) ||

(The palace was) Filled with thousands of many kinds of beautiful pleasing beasts and birds of different kinds.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ವಿನೀತೈರಂತಪಾಲೈಶ್ಚ ರಕ್ಷೋಭಿಶ್ಚ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತಮ್|
ಮುಖ್ಯಾಭಿಶ್ಚ ವರಸ್ತ್ರೀಭಿಃ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣಂ ಸಮಂತತಃ||9||

ಸ|| ವಿನೀತೈಃ ಅನ್ತಪಾಲೈಃ ಚ ರಕ್ಷೋಭಿಃ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತಂ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಭಿಃ ವರಸ್ತ್ರೀಭಿಃ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣಂ ಸಮಂತತಃ (ಭವನಮ್ ದದರ್ಶ)||

Protected by disciplined Rakshasa palace guards, the palace was full of important noble women.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಮುದಿತ ಪ್ರಮದಾರತ್ನಂ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೇನ್ದ್ರ ನಿವೇಶನಮ್|
ವರಾಭರಣಸಂಹಾದ್ರೈಃ ಸಮುದ್ರಸ್ಸ್ವನನಿಸ್ಸ್ವನಮ್||10||

ಸ|| ರಾಕ್ಷಸೇನ್ದ್ರ ನಿವೇಶನಂ ಮುದಿತ ಪ್ರಮದಾರತ್ನಂ ವರಾಭರಣ ಸಂಹಾದ್ರೈಃ ಸಮುದ್ರಸ್ಸ್ವನನ್ನಿಸ್ವನಮ್ ||

The palace of the Rakshasa king with jingling sounds of ornaments and accessories of joyful women reverberated with sounds like the sounds of the sea.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ತದ್ರಾಜಗುಣಸಂಪನ್ನಂ ಮುಖ್ಯೈಶ್ಚಾಗರುಚಂದನೈಃ|
ಮಹಾಜನೈಃ ಸಮಾಕೀರ್ಣಂ ಸಿಂಹೈರಿವ ಮಹದ್ವನಮ್||11||

ಸ|| ತತ್ (ಭವನಂ) ಅಗರುಚನ್ದನೈಃ ರಾಜಗುಣಸಂಪನ್ನಂ ಮುಖ್ಯೈಃ ಮಹಾಜನೈಃ ಸಮಾಕೀರ್ಣಂ ಭವನಂ ಸಿಂಹೈಃ ಸಮಾಕೀರ್ಣಂ ಮಹತ್ ವನಮಿವ (ಅಸ್ತಿ)||

That palace full of eminent Rakshasas and great people endowed with royal traits looked like a great forest infested with lions. It carried various fragrances.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಭೇರೀಮೃದಙ್ಗಾಭಿರುತಂ ಶಂಖಘೋಷನಿನಾದಿತಮ್|
ನಿತ್ಯಾರ್ಚಿತಂ ಪರ್ವಹುತಂ ಪೂಜಿತಂ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೈಸ್ಸದಾ||12||

ಸ|| (ತತ್ ಭವನಂ) ಭೇರೀಮೃದಙ್ಗಾಭಿರುತಂ ಶಂಖಘೋಷನಿನಾದಿತಂ (ಅಸ್ತಿ) ನಿತ್ಯಾರ್ಚಿತಂ ಪರ್ವಹುತಂ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೈಃ ಸದಾ ಪೂಜಿತಂ (ಅಪಿ ಚ)||

That palace was filled with sounds of trumpets, echoed with sounds of conches and percussion instruments. The Rakshasas always performed daily worships and sacrifices on special days.

ಮಹಾತ್ಮನೋಮಹದ್ವೇಶ್ಮ ಮಹಾರತ್ನ ಪರಿಛ್ಛದಮ್|| 13||
ಮಹಾರತ್ನ ಸಮಾಕೀರ್ಣಂ ದದರ್ಶ ಸ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ|

ಸ|| ಸಮುದ್ರಮಿವ ಗಮ್ಭೀರಂ ನಿಸ್ಸ್ವನಮ್ ಸಮುದ್ರಮಿವ ಮಹಾರತ್ನಪರಿಚ್ಛದಮ್ ಮಹಾರತ್ನ ಸಮಾಕೀರ್ಣಂ ಮಹಾತ್ಮನಸ್ಯ ಮಹತ್ ವೇಶ್ಮ ತತ್ ಮಹಕಪಿಃ ದದರ್ಶ||

With deep sounds resembling the sounds of a sea, Hanuman saw the great residence filled with great men looking like a sea full of precious gems.

ಲಂಕಾಭರಣಮಿತ್ಯೇವ ಸೋಽಮನ್ಯತ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ|
ಚಚಾರ ಹನುಮಾಂಸ್ತತ್ರ ರಾವಣಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪತಃ||15||

ಸ|| ಏವಂ ವಪುಷಾ ವಿರಾಜಮಾನಂ ಗಜಾಶ್ವರಥ ಸಂಕುಲಂ ( ಭವನಂ) ಲಂಕಾಭರಣಂ ಇತಿ ಸಃ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ಅಮನ್ಯತ|| ತತ್ರ ಹನುಮತಃ ರಾವಣಸ್ಯ( ಭವನಂ) ಸಮೀಪತಃ ಚಚಾರ||

Hanuman thought that palace, bright in appearance being full of elephants horses and chariots, is the very jewel of Lanka. Then Hanuman moved closer to Ravana's palace,

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಗೃಹಾದ್ಗೃಹಂ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಾನಾಂ ಉದ್ಯಾನಾನಿ ಚ ವಾನರಃ|
ವೀಕ್ಷಮಾಣೋ ಹ್ಯಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತಃ ಪ್ರಾಸಾದಾಂಶ್ಚ ಚಚಾರ ಸಃ||16||

ಸ||ಗೃಹಾತ್ ಗೃಹಂ ರಾಕ್ಷಸಾನಾಂ ಚ ಉದ್ಯಾನಾನಿ ಪ್ರಾಶಾದಾಂಶ್ಚ ವೀಕ್ಷಮಾಣಃ ಅಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತಃ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಚಚಾರ||

Hanuman moved about unobtrusively from house to house observing the gardens and the mansions.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಅವಪ್ಲುತ್ಯ ಮಹಾವೇಗಃ ಪ್ರಹಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ನಿವೇಶನಮ್|
ತತೋಽನ್ಯತ್ ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ ವೇಶ್ಮ ಮಹಾಪಾರ್ಶ್ವಸ್ಯ ವೀರ್ಯವಾನ್||17||

ಸ|| ಮಹಾವೀರ್ಯಃ ಮಹಾವೇಗಃ ಪ್ರಹಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ನಿವೇಶನಮ್ ಅವಪ್ಲುತ್ಯ ಮಹಾಪಾರ್ಶ್ವಸ್ಯ (ಭವನಂ) ತತಃ ಅನ್ಯತ್ ( ಭವನಂ) ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ||

Courageous and quick Hanuman sprang from Prahasta's house to Mahaparsva's house and then jumped to other houses.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಅಥ ಮೇಘ ಪ್ರತೀಕಾಶಂ ಕುಂಭಕರ್ಣನಿವೇಶನಮ್|
ವಿಭೀಷಣಸ್ಯ ಚ ತಥಾಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ ಸ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ||18||

ಸ|| ಅಥ ಸಃ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ಮೇಘಪ್ರತೀಕಾಶಂ ಕುಂಭಕರ್ಣಸ್ಯ ನಿವೇಶನಂ ತದಾ ವಿಭೀಷಣಸ್ಯ( ಭವನಂ) ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ||

Then the great Vanara moved from Kumbhakarna's house resembling a great cloud to Vibhishana's house.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಮಹೋದರಸ್ಯ ಚ ಗೃಹಂ ವಿರೂಪಾಕ್ಷಸ್ಯ ಚೈವ ಹಿ|
ವಿದ್ಯುಜ್ಜಿಹ್ವಸ್ಯ ಭವನಂ ವಿದ್ಯುನ್ಮಾಲೇಸ್ತಧೈವಚ ||19||
ವಜ್ರದಂಷ್ಟ್ರಸ್ಯ ಚ ತಥಾ ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ ಸ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ|

ಸ|| ಸಃ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ಮಹೋದರಸ್ಯ ಗೃಹಂ ಚ ವಿರೂಪಾಕ್ಷಸ್ಯ ಚ ಏವ ಹಿ ವಿದ್ಯುಜ್ಜಿಹ್ವಸ್ಯ ತಥೈವ ಚ ವಿದ್ಯುಮಾಲೇಃ ತಥೈವ ವಜ್ರದಂಷ್ಟ್ರಸ್ಯ ಭವನಂ ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ||

ತಾ|| ಆ ವಾನರುಡು ಮಹೋದರುನಿ ಗೃಹಮು, ವಿರೂಪಾಕ್ಷುನಿ ಗೃಹಮು , ವಿದ್ಯುಜ್ಜಿಹ್ವುನಿ ಗೃಹಮು , ಅಲಾಗೇ ವಿದ್ಯುಮಾಲಿ ಗೃಹಮು, ವಜ್ರದಂಷ್ಟ್ರುನಿ ಗೃಹಮುಲೋಕಿ ದೂಕೆನು.

The great Vanara jumped from Mahodara's mansion to Virupaksha's, and jumped like that from Vidyujjihva's to Vidyumala's and then to Vajradamshtra's mansion.

ಶ್ಲೋ|| ಶುಕಸ್ಯ ಚ ಮಹಾತೇಜಾಃ ಸಾರಣಸ್ಯ ಚ ಧೀಮತಃ||20||
ತಥಾ ಚೇನ್ದ್ರಜಿತೋವೇಶ್ಮ ಜಗಾಮ ಹರಿಯೂಧಪಃ|

ಸ|| ಮಹಾತೇಜಾಃ ಹರಿಯೂಥಪಃ ಶುಕಸ್ಯ ಧೀಮತಃ ಸಾರಣಸ್ಯ ತಥಾ ಇನ್ದ್ರಜಿತಃ ವೇಶ್ಮ ಜಗಾಮ||

The powerful Vanara then went by the house of Suka, the intelligent Sarana and similarly Indrajit's mansion too.

ರಶ್ಮಿ ಕೇತೋಶ್ಚ ಭವನಂ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಶತ್ರೋಸ್ತಥೈವಚ |
ವಜ್ರಕಾಯಸ್ಯ ಚ ತಥಾ ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ ಸ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ||22||

ಸ|| ಹರಿಸತ್ತಮಃ ಜಮ್ಬುಮಾಲೇಃ ಸುಮಾಲೇಃ ಚ ಜಗಾಮ|| ಸಃ ಮಹಾಕಪಿಃ ರಶ್ಮಿಕೇತೋಃ ತಥೈವ ಚ ಸೂರ್ಯಶತ್ರೋಃ ಚ ತಥಾ ವಜ್ರಕಾಯಸ್ಯ ಭವನಂ ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ||

The best of Vanara's then jumped from Jambumali's to Sumali's house. Similarly, that great Vanara jumped from Rasmiketu's to SuryaSatru's, and then to Vajrakaya's mansion

ವಿದ್ಯುದ್ರೂಪಸ್ಯ ಭೀಮಸ್ಯ ಘನಸ್ಯ ವಿಘನಸ್ಯ ಚ||23||
ಶುಕನಾಸಸ್ಯ ವಕ್ರಸ್ಯ ಶಠಸ್ಯ ವಿಕಟಸ್ಯ ಚ|
ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಕರ್ಣಸ್ಯ ದಂಷ್ಟ್ರಸ್ಯ ರೋಮಶಸ್ಯ ಚ ರಕ್ಷಸಃ||24||
ಯುದ್ಧೋನ್ಮತ್ತಸ್ಯ ಮತ್ತಸ್ಯ ಧ್ವಜಗ್ರೀವಸ್ಯ ನಾದಿನಃ|
ವಿದ್ಯುಜ್ಜಿಹ್ವೇನ್ದ್ರಜಿಹ್ವಾನಾಂ ತಥಾ ಹಸ್ತಿಮುಖಸ್ಯ ಚ||25||

ಸ|| ಧೂಮ್ರಾಕ್ಷಸ್ಯ ತಥಾ ಸಂಪಾತೇಃ ಭವನಂ ತಥೈವ ವಿದ್ಯುದ್ರೂಪಸ್ಯ ಭೀಮಸ್ಯ ಘನಸ್ಯ ವಿಘನಸ್ಯ ಚ ( ಭವನಂ ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ) || ತಥಾ ರಕ್ಷಸಃ ಶುಕನಾಸಸ್ಯ ವಕ್ರಸ್ಯ ವಿಕಟಸ್ಯ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಕರ್ಣಸ್ಯ ದಂಷ್ಟ್ರಸ್ಯ ರೋಮಶಸ್ಯ ಚ (ಭವನಂ ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ)|| ಯುದ್ಧೋನ್ಮತ್ತಸ್ಯ ಮತ್ತಸ್ಯ ಧ್ವಜಗ್ರೀವಸ್ಯ ನಾದಿನಃ (ಭವನಂ ಚ) ವಿದುಜ್ಜಿಹ್ವಸ್ಯ ಇನ್ದ್ರಜಿಹ್ವಸ್ಯ ತಥಾ ಹಸ್ತಿಮುಖಸ್ಯ (ಭನಂ ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ)||

Then the great Vanara jumped over the houses of Dhumraksha, Sampati, Vidyudrupa, Bhima, Ghana, and Vighana. Similarly, he jumped over the houses of the Rakshasas Sukanasa, Vakra, Vikata, Brahmakarna, Damshtra, and Romasa. Then he jumped over the houses of Yuddhonmatta, Matta, Dhvajagriva, Nadina, Vidyujjihva, Indrajihva similarly Hastimukha.

ಕ್ರಮಮಾಣಂ ಕ್ರಮೇಣೈವ ಹನುಮಾಮ್ಮಾರುತಾತ್ಮಜಃ||26||

ಸ||ಕರಾಳಸ್ಯ ಪಿಶಾಚಸ್ಯ ಶೋಣಿತಾಕ್ಷಸ್ಯ ಚ (ಭವನಂ ಅಪಿ) ಕ್ರಮಮಾಣಂ ಕ್ರಮೇನೈವ (ಪುಪ್ಲುವೇ)||

Similarly, Hanuman jumped over the houses of Karala, Pisacha, and Sonitaksha in an orderly manner as he advanced.

The great Vanara saw the wealth of the wealthy in their mansions.

ಸ|| ಸಃ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀವಾನ್ ಸರ್ವೇಷಾಂ ಭವನಾನಿ ಸಮನ್ತತಃ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೇನ್ದ್ರ ನಿವೇಶನಂ ಆಸಸಾದ||

That Vanara rich in capabilities then passing all the mansions reached the residence of the King of Rakshasas.

ಸ||| ಹರಿಶಾರ್ದೂಲಃ ಹರಿಸತ್ತಮಃ ವಿಚರನ್ ರಾವಣಸ್ಯ ಉಪಶಾಯಿನ್ಯಃ ವಿಕೃತೇಕ್ಷಣಾಃ ಶೂಲಮುದ್ಗರಹಸ್ತಾಶ್ಚ ಶಕ್ತಿತೋಮರ ಧಾರಿಣಃ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೀಃ ದದರ್ಶ ||

The best of Vanara wandering about Ravana's palace saw Rakshasa women with hideous eyes carrying tridents and hammers, as well as powerful javelins and iron cudgels as arms

At that home of the king of Rakshasas, Hanuman saw different regiments of army troops ready with different kinds of weapons.

ಕ್ಷರತಶ್ಚ ಯಥಾಮೇಘಾನ್ ಸ್ರವತಶ್ಚ ಯಥಾ ಗಿರೀನ್||33||
ಮೇಘಸ್ತನಿತ ನಿರ್ಘೋಷಾನ್ ದುರ್ಧರ್ಷಾನ್ ಸಮರೇ ಪರೈಃ|

ಸ|| ಸಃ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಗೃಹೇ ರಕ್ತಾಮ್ ಶ್ವೇತಾನ್ ಸಿತಾಂಶ್ಚೈವ ಮಹಾಜವಾನ್ ಹರೀಶ್ಚಾಪಿ ಕುಲೀನಾನ್ ರೂಪಸಂಪನ್ನಾನ್ ಪರಗಜಾರುಜಾನ್ ಗಜಾನ್ ನಿಷ್ಟಿತಾನ್ ಐರಾವತಸಮಾನ್ ಯುಧಿ ಪರಶೈನ್ಯಾನಾಂ ನಿಹನ್ತೄನ್ ಕ್ಷರತಃ ಯಥಾ ಮೇಘಾನ್ ಸ್ರವತಃ ಚ ಯಥಾ ಗಿರೀನ್ ಸಮರೇ ಪರೈಃ ದುರ್ಧರ್ಷಾನ್ ಗಜಾನ್ ದದರ್ಶ ||

He saw well bred horses of red, white and cream colors which can travel fast. He saw good looking elephants not inferior to enemy's which are well trained and equal to Iravat in battle, which were unassailable in the battle and which were shedding rut resembling thundering clouds pouring out rain on the mountains.

ಸ|| ತತ್ರ ರಾವಣಸ್ಯ ನಿವೇಶನೇ ಜಾಮ್ಬೂನದಪರಿಷ್ಕೃತಾಃ ಹೇಮಜಾಲಪರಿಛ್ಚನ್ನಾಃ ತರುಣಾದಿತ್ಯಸನ್ನಿಭಾಃ ಸಹಸ್ರಂ ವಾಹಿನೀಂ ದದರ್ಶ||

In Ravana's house he saw thousands of troops bedecked with gold, fully protected with armor of gold shining like the rising Sun.

ಸ|| ಸಃ ಕಪಿಃ ಮಾರುತಾತ್ಮಜಃ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೇನ್ದ್ರಸ್ಯ ರಾವಣಸ್ಯ ನಿವೇಶನೇ ವಿವಿಧಾಕಾರಾಃ ಶಿಬಿಕಾಃ ಚಿತ್ರಾಣಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಗೃಹಾಣಿ ದಾರುಪರ್ವತಕಾನಪಿ ಕಾಮಸ್ಯ ಗೃಹಕಮ್ ರಮ್ಯಂ ದಿವಾಗೃಹಕಮೇವ ಚ ದದರ್ಶ||

The great Vanara who is the son of Vayu, the wind god, saw in the palace of the king of Rakshasas different types of palanquins, sporting chambers, hillocks made of wood, charming houses for love making, chambers for the daytime activities also.

ಸ|| ಸಃ ಮನ್ದರಗಿರಿಪ್ರಖ್ಯಂ ಮಯೂರಸ್ಥಾನ ಸಂಕುಲಮ್ ಧ್ವಜಯಷ್ಟಿಭಿಃ ಆಕೀರ್ಣನ್ ಧೀರನಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಕರ್ಮಾನ್ತಮ್ ಭೂತಪತೇಃ ಗೃಹಮಿವ ಭವನೋತ್ತಮಮ್ ಸಮನ್ತತಃ ಅನೇಕರತ್ನ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣಮ್ ನಿಧಿಜಾಲಮ್ ದದರ್ಶ ||

Comparable to mount Mandara, it was full of Peacocks. It was full of flag posts. It was built by skilled craftsman with great care, resembling Kailasa the house of the Lord of all creatures. He saw a magnificent mansion which was full of gems and treasure troves.

ಸ|| ತತ್ ವೇಶ್ಮ ರತ್ನಾನಾಮ್ ಅರ್ಚಿರ್ಭಿಶ್ಚಾಪಿ ರಾವಣಸ್ಯ ತೇಜಸಾ ಚ ಅಥ ರಶ್ಮಿಭಿಃ ರಶ್ಮಿಮಾನಿವ ವಿರರಾಜ ||

ತಾ|| ಆ ಭವನಮು ಅನೇಕ ರಕಮುಲೈನ ವಜ್ರಮುಲು ರತ್ನಮುಲತೋ ನಿಂಡಿಯುನ್ನನೂ ಸೂರ್ಯಕಿರಣಮುಲ ತೇಜಸ್ಸುಲಾಗಾವುನ್ನ ರಾವಣುನಿ ತೇಜಸ್ಸುತೋ ವಿರಾಜಿಲ್ಲೆನು.

That palace though full of gems with wonderful hues, shone with the brilliance of Ravana like the Sun god with his rays of sunshine.

ಸ|| ಹರಿಯೂಥಪಃ ಜಾಮ್ಬೂನದಮಯಾನ್ಯೇವ ಶಯನಾನಿ ಆಸನಾನಿ ಚ ಮುಖ್ಯಾನಿ ಭಾಜನಾನಿ ದದರ್ಶ||

ತಾ|| ಆ ವಾನರೋತ್ತಮುಡು ಚೂಸಿನ ಭವನಮುಲೋ ಅಕ್ಕಡ ಬಂಗಾರಮು ತೋ ಚೇಯಿಂಚಬಡಿನ ಶಯನಮುಲು ಆಸನಮುಲು , ಇಂಕಾ ಮುಖ್ಯಮೈನ ಪಾತ್ರಲು ಉನ್ನಾಯಿ,

There the great Vanara saw the beds, and seats made, as well as many important vessels .

ಮೃದಙ್ಗತಲಘೋಷೈಶ್ಚ ಘೋಷವದ್ಭಿರ್ವಿನಾದಿತಮ್|
ಪ್ರಾಸಾದಸಂಘಾತಯುತಂ ಸ್ತ್ರೀರತ್ನಶತಸಂಕುಲಮ್||
ಸುಪೂಢ್ಯಕಕ್ಷ್ಯಂ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಪ್ರವಿವೇಶ ಮಹಾಗೃಹಮ್||44||

ಸ|| ಮಧ್ವಾಸಕೃತಕ್ಲೇದಂ ಮಣಿಭಾಜನಸಂಕುಲಂ ಮನೋರಮಮ್ ಅಸಮ್ಭಾಧಮ್ ಕುಬೇರ ಭವನಂ ಯಥಾ ನೂಪುರಾಣಾಂ ಕಾಞ್ಚೀನಾಮ್ ನಿನದೇನ ಘೋಷವದ್ಭಿಃ ಮೃದಙ್ಗತಲಘೋಷೈಶ್ಚ ವಿನಾದಿತಮ್ ಪ್ರಾಸಾದಸಂಘಾತಯುತಮ್ ಮಹಾಗೃಹಂ ಹನುಮಾನ್ ಪ್ರಾವಿವೇಶ||

Hanuman saw the spacious and very delightful palace, which is like that of Kubera, which is drenched with liquor and other drinks, with gem encrusted vessels scattered all over. Hanuman then entered the house which was resonating with sounds of golden anklets of women and the drums. which had rows of mansions with lofty palaces and well laid apartments full of exquisite women.
